Ehdin melkein kyllästyä Googlen matkapuhelinprojektiin jo ennen sen virallista julkaisua. Nyt tämä "Gphone" joka ei siis ole puhelin on julkaistu.
Google Phone on itse asiassa täysin avoin matkapuhelin käyttöliittymä / alusta / OS johon perustuvat kännykät tulevat markkinoille ensivuoden puolen välin jälkeen.
Mitä Google oikeasti juuri julkaisi oli aie kehittää tämä Androidiksi kutsuttu käyttöjärjestelmä. Google ei siis julkistanut Google Phonea, eikä edes käyttöliittymää vaan Open Handset Alliancen joka tulee kehittämään Googlen matkapuhelinalusta - Androidin. Se siitä hypestä, sanon minä.
Näin Google kuvaa aikeitaan Androidin ja Open Handset Alliancen suhteen:
